Education Committee

The Education Committee has two major functions, the first offering courses of interest to MAPP members. It also sponsors MAPPMATCH, which serves as a matching services for clinicians who wish to form peer supervision, peer study, or other groups, such as a film discussion group. Members are welcome to join by contacting the chair.

Chair, Education Committee: Holly Levenkron, LICSW

Program Committee

The Program Committee conceives and arranges presentations for the psychoanalytic community in the Boston area. We have traditionally had two formats: “scientific papers” are generally more theoretical and briefer, while “workshops” are clinically-focused, longer and allow for more interaction between presenter and audience. We strive to devise programs which are innovative and inclusive. The committee meets monthly. MAPP members interested in joining the program committee should contact the Chair.

Membership Committee

Committee’s efforts are focused on spreading the word in the psychoanalytic psychotherapy community about the existence and offerings of MAPP. The Committee continually outreaches to new potential members while also concentrating on the retention of MAPP’s current, valued members. Anyone interested in developing a broader community of colleagues through involvement in the Membership Committee should contact the chair.

Chair, Membership Committee: Jennifer Bortle, Ph.D.

Graduate Student Committee

The Graduate Student Committee conceives and arranges presentations specifically geared to graduate student interests and concerns. The committee also helps MAPP to plan activities relevant to graduate students, such as the mentoring program. Any graduate students interested in learning more about MAPP or in joining the Graduate Committee are encouraged to contact the Chair.
